Dave M says:
The S/370 is a 4341 model 2, with 2x 3380E disks on a 3880 controller,
and two 3480 tape drives on a 3480-A22 controller, and two 3174-1L
establishment controllers (for terminals and printers).
That system was decommissioned on 12/31/1999 due to Y2K concerns. An
S/390 Multiprise (basically an S/390-G3 with internal DASD arrays) was
brought in at some point after that, and was decommissioned a few weeks ago.
The total original cost of this equipment was just under three
quarters of a million dollars, not including operating systems and
application software.
