Although I can now boot to disk, sometimes, inconsistent performance out of the RAM is frustrating, so I decided to find the bad chip(s) and replace them. Hoping it's RAM only. The replacement RAM is MK4315N, not easy to find, but I happen to have a few. I also took new pictures of the cards installed in the system, so that I knew how to put things back together
