Looking for an IMSAI Box by John Monahan - 10/18/2008 00:15
I am looking for an IMSAI S100 box with power supply and front panel. No need for S100 cards. Anybody seen one for sale?

IMSAI Box - need controller card too by Bill Degnan - 10/21/2008 11:20
standard questions - where are you (shipping) and does the system need to work? It makes sense, if this is your plan, to start with the power and front panel, but you'll need the IMSAI processor card too, because it hooks to the front panel via a cable. Otherwise you'll have to fashion something custom.

As you have probably read, I have an IMSAI that I have been restoring since late 2004. Lately it has been flaky. I have another one that needs tant. capacitors replaced in the motherboard, but I have put that project on the back burner.

Good Luck

Sorry for deleay Bill. I was out of town. I have (~5) CPU cards. Z80's and my own wire wrapped 8088, 8086 & 286 cards that work on the s100 bus. The IMSAI 8080 CPU card is not essential but I could use it to get the others started. I know my way the s100 bus well. Wrote two article for Sol Libs for s100 Microsystems! The Itacha Audio z80 card (1977) for example drives the IMSAI front panel.

Anyway a functioning box is not required. You can contact me directly at monahan @vitasoft.org (Leave out the space before the "@" sign, this prevents span e-mail scanners).

At this time I don't want to part with mine, but hopefully someone will see this thread and be willing to help.
